Sports Information

The Purdue sports information office, located on the southwest end of Mackey Arena, is responsible for providing accurate and timely information to a variety of customers, including media, student-athletes, coaches and fans. The office, which is comprised of nine full-time staff members and numerous student assistants, reports on and publicizes all 18 varsity sports in addition to improving the image of the Purdue Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, as well as that of Purdue University in general.

Other areas of responsibility handled by the sports information staff include writing the content for Purdue's official athletics Web site (purduesports.com); arranging all interviews with student-athletes and coaches; setting up press conferences; publishing media/recruiting guides; and producing the Joe Tiller, Matt Painter and Sharon Versyp radio and television programs.
